Our Founder & CEO - Mike Kalis
Mike Kalis is the founder and CEO of Great Lake Construction. Mike Kalis graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 and started his career at Pulte Homes in Detroit. At age 26 Kalis became CEO of Marketplace Homes and took it from his basement to the INC500 list 4 years in a row, grew from 1 to 100 team members, over 30 states, $2 billion in new home sales and 5,000 homes under management. In 2019, Kalis lead Copper Bay as the CEO to become the largest single family build to rent company in Michigan with over 800 single family homes under management and a successful exit of 283 homes. In 2021, Kalis started Great Lake Realty, Great Lake Investments, and Great Lake Construction to provide a full platform for investors who want to take advantage of the benefits of build to rent investing. Mike has a passion to create beautiful homes and communities that provide incredible value to the residents and buyers.
